ASADORI
Enjoy Japanese tea, simply
Whether in a shop or online, choosing tea can quickly feel overwhelming. Hundreds of options, teas blended with spices, fruits or herbs. Then there are pure teas, with their own characteristics and regions of origin. It is not always easy to know exactly what you are buying.
ASADORI began with a simple wish: to make Japanese green tea easier to discover, understand and, above all, savour. For yourself, or to introduce it to someone else.
A carefully chosen selection
At ASADORI, every tea has a purpose. Our selection represents the main types of Japanese tea, each chosen for its distinctive character, its story and the people behind it.
Our first selection comes from Wazuka, Kyoto Prefecture. We met the producers and tasted their teas. Taste them, appreciate their differences and explore further at your own pace.
A moment for yourself, a moment to share
Preparing tea starts with a few reference points: water, temperature, the quantity of leaves and infusion time. From there, find the gestures and flavours you enjoy.
You can enjoy this moment alone or share it. Prepare a cup for someone, discover flavours together, take time to talk and be present with one another.
Why ASADORI
ASADORI is a name created from Japanese inspirations: asa, morning; dō, the way; dōri, the path. It expresses an idea: appreciation begins with curiosity, deepens with understanding and grows richer through the stories discovered along the way.
JAPANESE TEA. REIMAGINE
An invitation to look at Japanese tea with fresh eyes, at your own pace and in your own way.
The founder
ASADORI was founded in Brussels by Grégory, who has worked in digital marketing and technology for more than 25 years.
Green tea was not really part of his everyday life. He had brought some back from two trips to Japan, without drinking much of it. Then, during a period when everyone was spending more time at home, he bought himself a Japanese teapot and began learning how to prepare tea. Discovering Japanese teas did the rest: with every cup came the feeling of setting off on a journey.
His curiosity led him to pursue further learning. He is currently taking a course with the Global Japanese Tea Association. With ASADORI, he brings his two worlds together: Japanese tea and innovation. He wants to show how technology can highlight craftsmanship and the people who keep it alive.
