Sayamakaori

Originally from Saitama Prefecture, Sayamakaori is a cold-resistant variety of tea plant known for its distinctive aroma. It is used in particular for sencha and can be processed on its own or blended with other cultivars. Its aromatic character gives the teas made from it a marked identity.
